Visual identity

For the MerchKing Instagram campaign, I designed a comprehensive set of posts and formats that raised brand awareness, brought personalized products to life, and directly connected creatives with the Print on Demand platform.

The first set of Instagram posts for MerchKing is designed to "stop the scroll" and immediately catch the eye – through bold use of vibrant yellows, blues, and purples that stand out from a sea of nearly identical feeds. Geometric patterns, dynamic lines, and minimal, clear slogans ("Best POD Pricing", "Hot Selling Product", "Sell T‑Shirts on MerchKing") create a modern, energetic visual language that communicates the platform's key benefits in just a few seconds.

Used colors

The visual identity uses four accent colors that effectively attract attention and communicate the brand's energy and modernity. These colors stand out when combined with clean black and white backgrounds, achieving strong contrast, visual clarity, and a dynamic look throughout the design.

Black - #000000

It is used for contrast, typography, and key branded elements within the campaign. It brings a sense of seriousness, clarity, and strength, and its combination with bright colors from the palette allows important messages to grab attention immediately. Thanks to its neutrality and visual weight, black further contributes to the structure and balance of the design, emphasizing the professional tone of the MerchKing brand.

White - #FFFFFF

It is used for balance and clarity in design. It serves as a background and visual accent, highlighting the content and allowing vibrant colors from the palette to stand out even more. Overall, it contributes to a clean, modern, and easily readable appearance of the campaign.

Yellow - #FAD003

It is used to introduce energy and optimism into the visual. This warm and bright shade serves to highlight sections, background accents, and to emphasize key information. Due to its expressive nature, it effectively attracts attention and adds dynamics to the design without compromising readability.

Purple - #5E17EB

This shade of purple symbolizes creativity, originality, and digital modernity. It was used in the campaign to highlight certain elements and create contrast with warmer tones. Its deep, vibrant energy contributes to the dynamic appearance of the visuals, and in combination with yellow and white, it further enhances the visual identity of the brand.

Blue - #0FB2EE

The campaign used it to associate with the brand and maintain its visual continuity. This color symbolizes freshness, reliability, and digital accessibility, and its distinctive shade further connects the visuals with the MerchKing identity.

Additional set of visuals

In the second set of visuals, we continued with a similar style and color palette, relying on the success of the previous campaign. Consistency in design has strengthened brand identity, while the bright colors and recognizable visual language continued to attract attention and achieve good audience engagement.

Additional supportive and targeted visuals

During the launch of the main campaign, which aimed to attract new, younger users through an energetic and striking visual style, we simultaneously developed an additional set of ads aimed at existing users. These visuals featured a more subdued design, with softer tones and a more sophisticated approach – tailored for users who have been present in the print-on-demand industry for a longer time and have a more developed sense of brand stability and functionality. This segmentation allowed for more precise targeting of different audience groups, without compromising the uniqueness of the brand identity.

This two-way strategy has enabled us to communicate with the audience on multiple levels – on one hand, through vibrant, modern-designed visuals that inspire new users to connect with the brand, and on the other hand, through more thoughtful, visually calming campaigns that affirm the reliability and seriousness of the platform for long-term users. By balancing freshness and professionalism, the campaign achieved a broader reach and built a deeper connection with different segments of the target group.
